Bated Breath

So I officially have a blog! I actually used to keep a journal when I was younger, so I guess this isn't much of a stretch. I will, however, have to get used to the idea of people reading this one as opposed to my deepest 8th grade secrets.


I pretty much obsessively read Peace Corps blogs all day, every day, so I figured I should get the ball rolling on mine. I always knew I'd keep one during my time away so my family and friends could follow my adventures, but I've found the pre-departure blogs extremely helpful and thought it'd be nice to chronicle my pre-departure as well. I must admit, I put this thing off for a long time with the fear that I'd start a blog, jinx myself, and get denied from serving. That is still an entirely plausible outcome, but I'm trying to live more optimistically. So here goes.
